Peru

In August of 2008 I fulfilled a long held ambition to visit Peru and in particular to walk the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. Typically for me, I underestimated the difficulty of the four day trek but perhaps it is just as well I did - if I had known how tough I would find it I might not have started. But I did it and it will always be one of the highlights of my life! Peru is a wonderful country - the scenery is stunning and the people are so welcoming. I hope you enjoy the pictures and that they convey something of the flavour of this wonderful country.
