Travel

Candid portraiture whilst out on my travels was how I started out in photography and the love of this genre has never left me. I try to capture moments, situations and expressions that sum up not only the person's character, but also that of his or her country. Converting to mono often gives the images a more timeless feel which I think suits the genre well.

I also like to capture details I see walking around the villages and towns - details that again sum up the spirit of the place.

Travel also re-ignites my passion for landscapes - be they sandy beaches or soaring mountain peaks.
